19 Famous TikTokers to Follow and Learn From

19 Famous TikTokers to Follow and Learn From

Whether you’re a TikTok newcomer or can’t live without the platform, you probably want to know who’s “TikTok famous.” After all, social media is a great place to share your talents without the challenges of traditional publishing or hiring. But no matter why you want to learn from these TikTokers, it’s important to understand why they’re important. Most of them are outstanding content creators, though personality always will play a role. And, yes, because most of these are the original famous TikTokers, many of them have claimed their fame through dancing.

Note that these famous TikTokers and TikTok influencers are not traditional celebrities. If you look at many lists of famous TikTokers, they will include famous sports athletes, musicians, or television and media personalities, such as:

The famous TikTokers on this list were either influential from the pre-TikTok Musical.ly days, have translated their influence from YouTube onto TikTok, or because of their unique talents, have become extremely influential on the platform.

Let’s learn about each of these content creators, each of whom owes their fame to social media.

1. Charli D’Amelio

The first true TikTok star and the most famous of the famous of the famous TikTokers who was transformed from a competitive dancer into now a bonafide celebrity. She’s known for her dance videos, recently showing off her ability to bend over backward and touch the floor. Some of her videos feature just her, but she also collaborates with other TikTokers.

Charli is famous enough that most people know her on TikTok, and that has caused Dunkin Donuts to name a drink after her. Other recent collaborations include Prada and Amazon. In other words, she’s really a big deal.

Also, she’s branching out beyond TikTok. She currently has a family reality show on Hulu together with sister Dixie (see #5 below).

2. Addison Rae

Together with Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae was one of the early stars of TikTok. She’s a former competitive dancer like Charli, but now she does a mixture of dance, lifestyle, and beauty content. Check out her lip sync videos or the recent content shot at Disney World.

Addison is also a businesswoman who released her own beauty product line called Item Beauty. Many of her products are featured in those beauty videos. Also, she did a collab with a toy company that produced a singing doll that looks like her.

3. Bella Poarch

Bella is a Filipina-American Navy veteran who served as a helicopter mechanic and rose to prominence in 2020 after one of her lip-synching videos went viral. That month, she garnered over 10 million followers. Her viral video received over 50 million likes and 1.7 million comments, breaking records.

After that, Bella signed a record deal and is now at the beginning of a successful career as a musician. Her videos are also known for using filters to create fantasy looks, though you’ll see her in a sweatshirt just as often. And she talks about video editing and social media tools, presumably with sponsorships.

Despite working on a music career, most of the music used in her TikTok videos is from other artists, including foreign ones.

On average, her videos get tens of millions of views, making her one of our most famous TikTokers.

4. Zach King

Zach has roots as a YouTuber but translated that influence to Instagram and now TikTok. In other words, Zach’s content creation has evolved with the trends and platforms. He has also switched to shorter-form content than what he would’ve published on YouTube.

He publishes unique content as a result of his being a filmmaker, author, illusionist, and magician. For example, he has one video where he’s getting a Christmas tree off the car, gets crushed by the tree, and turns into a cardboard cutout. The episode ends with his “returning” to human form. Another series involves his trip to London, where landmarks become cutouts and bike wheels.

Some of his videos are even funny, making them extra special.

5. Dixie D’Amelio

@dixiedamelio

thank y’all sooo much for 3M???????? @charlidamelio

♬ No Idea – Don Toliver

Dixie dances and frequently collaborates with her younger sister Charli. One of the compelling things about her content is the sister’s affection and collaboration (Charli hosts, too, sometimes).

Dixie is known for her music career, her YouTube series ‘The Early Late Night Show,’ and her relationship with popular TikToker Noah Beck. While many of her videos are dance-related, she also does lifestyle features, including collaborations with brands like Valentino and Amazon. Often, her endorsed products are beauty and fashion related.

Music-wise, Dixie is doing well: her 2nd single featured rapper Wiz Khalifa. It’ll be interesting to see what she and Charli accomplish together.

6. Khaby Lame

@khaby.lame

The best caption win my t-shirt ????????❤️ Let’s go guys! ❤️ #learnfromkhaby #learnwithkhaby #learnwithtikok #imparacontikok

♬ suono originale – Khabane lame

Khaby is an Italy-based hilarious entertainer who makes funny reaction videos to other TikTokers. He’s also a major soccer fan, often carrying a soccer ball. Other soccer-related content includes a tribute to Pele and a tribute to Lionel Messi, who helped Argentina win the World Cup.

Perhaps the biggest lesson Khaby can teach you is that it’s great to have a sense of humor. He’s an excellent actor and has a seemingly infinite knack for finding something funny to comment on.

7. Kimberly Loaiza

Kimberly is a Mexico-based singer and dancer who mostly dances in a bathing suit. Most of her life seems to be centered around the ocean because she even dances in scuba gear underwater. However, that doesn’t keep her from doing dry land videos and even showing off her family. This builds a connection with her viewers.

Perhaps most importantly, she is the most popular Spanish-speaking YouTuber with the most subscribers.

8. CZN Burak Özdemir

@cznburak

Czn farkıyla yemeğimizin ismi ne olsun?????❤️????

♬ orijinal ses – cznburak

Burak is a chef and restaurant owner from Turkey, and he’s famous for cooking videos. Frequently, the videos are of him cooking his native Turkish food. However, it’s a bit off the beaten path because videos can include extremely large eggs and loaves of bread that are five feet long!

He also shows off his family, particularly his grandmother. You can see him fixing up her house and giving her gifts. It’s a nice mixture of family values and vocation. And of course, you build a rapport by watching him be a family man.

9. Spencer Knight (Spencer X)

@spencerx

This trend but beatboxified ????????????????

♬ original sound – Spencer X

Spencer is a beatbox musician who became so famous on TikTok that he has already collaborated with famous musicians such as Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar. However, that isn’t the only reason to watch his videos or learn from the content he produces. Spencer spends much time answering challenges. Some of his best content is when he collaborates with other TikTokers.

Even if you aren’t into beatbox music, it’s worth watching his videos for the collaborations and creativity.

10. Jason Derulo

@jasonderulo

Mood all 2023. I know all the adlibs ???? @Jason Fairfield

♬ Snap Yo Fingers – Lil Jon

Jason is an American singer-songwriter and dancer. For that reason, his content focuses on singing and dancing, both by himself and with some backup dancers. However, this isn’t all he does. Some videos are TikTok challenge responses. He also has a few lifestyle videos, such as one where he makes a sort of desert casserole with cookies, candies, and icing.

11. Loren Gray

Loren joined TikTok in 6th grade when it was known as Musical.ly. Now, she has a successful music career, having signed a record deal with Virgin Records. Her videos showcase music, some of which are hers. In fact, I’d characterize some of Loren’s videos as mini music videos.

That’s not all: she also has her own jewelry line. Both the music and jewelry revenue streams are soft-advertised in her videos, so TikTok feeds her other businesses. There are likely music and jewelry fans who follow her on TikTok too. We see this phenomenon with offline celebrities and other social networks, too. The most famous TikTokers show themselves for who they are.

Moral of the story: content repurposing and social media marketing are highly effective.

12. Michael Le

@justmaiko

the brothas are back????‍♂️????

♬ Might Be – Remix – DJ Luke Nasty

Before TIkTok there was Musical.ly, and Michael was already known there as a choreographer and dancer. His videos showcase Asian-American culture, including multiple Japanese Anime references/uses. Michael also involves other members of the family, particularly his brother and sister.

Another cool thing about Michael’s videos is he still isn’t afraid to film in exotic locations. For instance, he films in Brazil. It’s clear that Michael is passionate about TikTok, and not just using it as a means of self-promotion.

Best of all, it’s compelling.

13. Dominik Robledo (DomeLipa)

Dominik is another Mexico-based social media influencer who has found a large following on TikTok. Most of her videos are traditional dancing and music flicks, and her signature look is casual wear and straight brown hair. However, music and dancing aren’t all you can expect from DomeLipa. Instead, some of her videos have a “keeping it real” vibe – often from her car. In other words, you’ll get some updates and commentary on the world around her.

As I’ve said many times before, social media is often most powerful when there’s a sense of authenticity, and that’s why influencer marketing works so well.

DomeLipa is one of those channels where you really get a sense of the person behind the camera.

14. Riyaz Aly

Riyaz is an India-based actor and model who became famous for his lip-sync videos and is now India’s biggest star on TikTok, where, ironically, it is banned…

Unfortunately, the ban means that he hasn’t posted in over two years. However, before the ban his videos were getting a million views relatively frequently. Also, it looks like he’s doing some collaborations with other TikTokers when he travels abroad, including with Burak Ozdemir (above).

With that said, Riyaz has moved his social media presence to Instagram, where you can see Reelz and regular posts. He’s also started a social media marketing company called Underdog Digital.

Interestingly, some people in the Indian social media scene predicted the shift to Instagram just ahead of the TikTok ban (and offered ideas on how to circumvent the ban).

15. Kris Collins

https://www.tiktok.com/@kallmekris/video/7186036193182649606

Kris is a former hairdresser who began making videos after being laid off by COVID-19 shutdowns and became famous for her family-themed humor. She does a lot of tutorials and tries things out that other TikTok members are trying, but you don’t get to see her dance.

That said, Kris has a humorous approach to almost everything – except for another user who is trying to convince Kris to do things her way. As a bonus, Kris is older than many of the other people in this article, so it’s interesting to see her lived experience and perspective shown through in the videos.

16. Avani Gregg

@avani

#ad GRWM @Valentino.Beauty EDITION!! using BORN IN ROSSO lipstick and VERY VALENTINO foundation ❤️‍????

♬ original sound – avani

Avani became famous for her Clown Girl makeup tutorials. She also recreates her makeup looks, even more, classic ones, on the channel. She’ll show you the technique, but also what she uses. It’s somewhat surprising that I didn’t see any sponsored posts for makeup companies.

Besides showing off her makeup, Avani shows off her dance and lip sync skills. Ultimately, there’s a question whether those dances or the makeup are the better content, but if you love makeup, then it’s a reason to stay.

17. Brent Rivera

@brentrivera

I saw this cute old couple sitting in the rain so i had to go up to them ????

♬ original sound – Brent Rivera

Brent has unique content and translated his influencer status from Vine to YouTube to Instagram and now to TikTok. His videos don’t have the traditional dance routines, though they’ve definitely embraced the short-form video format.

With Brent, you get a mixture of humor, acts of kindness, and travel. He shows off his latest adventures, like time in a Disney park (likely sponsored) and the airport in Singapore. Someone was even paid to go to Qatar and buy an official World Cup soccer ball! Additionally, you’ll see his family show up and participate in his videos.

The family must be proud.

18. JoJo Siwa

As a YouTuber, dancer, actress, and singer, JoJo is everywhere. To the point that people who’ve never used TikTok have probably heard her name. JoJo started out on the TV show Dance Moms, and some of her TikTok videos touch on those experiences. Often, it shows how mean people in the dance community can be to children.

Of course, there are a lot of reality stars that never go far once the show is over. JoJo bucked the trend and became more popular in 2021 after coming out as a supporter of the LGBTQ community. Now, many of her videos feature rainbow-themed clothing. She also continues to speak out about the need to be kind to others.

19. Baby Ariel

@babyariel

vote vote vote !! ???? @Feel Good Action

♬ original sound – BabyAriel

In the Musical.ly days, she was already well known. In fact, Time magazine named her one of the most important persons on the Internet in 2017. Her videos include traditional music and dance, vlogging, food preparation, and other lifestyle topics including her boyfriend.

Unlike many other social media celebrities, Baby Ariel doesn’t focus only on herself. That’s probably why she founded the #ArielMovement anti-bullying campaign and was honored by People magazine for her support of the #HackHarrassment project against internet trolls.

Who likes trolls and bullies, anyway? It’s always nice to see someone on social media who cares. And guess what? That caring persona really helps build her personal brand.
